Last night, I got to see The Psychedelic Furs at Fete in Providence. I hadn’t realized that the PFurs were on tour until my husband saw it on Fete’s web site. Thankfully, we have a good relationship with the venue and were able to score a press pass and some tickets. (Thanks, Graham!)
This was the first time I was able to shoot with my Canon 5D Mark III in ultra low light conditions like a nightclub. The lighting on stage made it an even tougher shooting environment since the darkness was punctuated by spotlights and very intense color bursts.
The 5D Mark III really is a low light assassin. The photos included in this blog post are straight out of the camera (SOOC) and were shot without a flash.
The PFurs put on a rockin’ show and played many of their hits, including my personal favorite “Love My Way”.
