Last week, I was lucky enough to attend a charity event sponsored by Yang’s Fitness Center, a gym in Andover that is run by my sister Diana and her husband Alex. The event, called the Troop Challenge, featured a series of fitness challenges where 45 participants competed in jump rope, pushups, ab in/outs, wall sit, pullups, and a backpack climb.

The $1,600 raised from the event benefited Homes for Our Troops who is building a specially adapted home for injured veteran Army Sgt. Matt Dewitt in Concord, New Hampshire. This year’s event was the second year that Yang’s hosted a Troop Challenge for this worthy cause.
