Craving spring during the dead of New England winter

Every year around this time – late February/early March – I get antsy for spring weather. (I’m also noticing that it’s a pattern for me, seeing that I posted about searching for spring around this time last year.) It’s been a brutal winter with below average temps and lots of snow. On the plus side, the snow makes for nice scenery when it’s warm enough to do an off-leash walk with my dog.

My husband is well aware that I’ve been struggling with winter, so he surprised me with tulips over the weekend. They’ve been a lifesaver. I suppose for now I’ll watch them open and keep wishing for spring.
